Fresno Filmworks added an event.

Fresno Filmworks presents the French documentary “Faces Places,” which follows Agnes Varda and photographer and muralist J.R. on their journey through rural France as they photograph locals. Two showtimes: 5:30 & 8:30 PM Sharing a lifelong passion for images, 89-year old Agnes Varda, one of the leading figures of the French New Wave, and acclaimed 33 year-old French artist J.R. travel around the villages of France in J.R.’s photo truck meeting locals, learning their stories and producing epic-sized portraits of them. The documentary focuses not only on the stories told through these images, but the relationship behind the artists themselves, showing us how the power of art can bring people together. Presented in French with English subtitles. Assistive listening services are not available for this film.
